Little Cottage Tallow Co. began with a simple belief: that the best care for our skin should come from the earth, not a lab. In a world full of complicated ingredients and synthetic fragrances, we longed for something honest — something our great-grandmothers would recognize.
Our journey started in our own kitchen, where we began rendering pure suet from grass-fed cattle raised on small local farms. Working slowly, intentionally, and always in small batches, we discovered what generations before us already knew: tallow is deeply nourishing, incredibly restorative, and beautifully compatible with the skin.
From that foundation, we began blending in gentle botanicals — jojoba, baobab, cold-pressed plant oils — chosen for their ability to soften, soothe, and support the skin’s natural balance. No fillers. No shortcuts. Just simple, wholesome ingredients crafted with care.
Our products are made to honor the quiet moments: caring for yourself at the end of the day, nurturing a newborn’s skin, gifting something made with sincerity. They are meant to feel grounding, comforting, and familiar — like coming home.

MEET OUR FOUNDER
Hi, I’m Lauren, the founder of Little Cottage Tallow Co. I’m a wife, a new mother, and an artist at heart. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Savannah College of Art and Design with my B.F.A. in Furniture Design. The day after my graduation, I gave birth to my beautiful baby girl, Millie, with my loving husband by my side. Whether it's baking a fresh loaf of sourdough, designing and building furniture in the metal shop, or crafting natural skincare for my family and yours, my true passion is to create things with my own two hands.
My love for tallow began when I wanted something pure and nourishing for our home. I started experimenting with natural and organic ingredients and fell in love with the simplicity and honesty of it. What began as a way to provide my family with natural alternatives to modern skincare has grown into something I now get to share with others.
Faith is woven into everything I do — in the way I approach work, in the intention behind each product, and in the belief that what is natural and good is worth preserving. I live in Savannah, Georgia, where slow living, family, and tradition inspire my everyday life.
